You could operate the martini shaker to this one.

qgI Played around with making a track for a 30-second radio bed today, and when I was done, I was reminded of Quagmire. Maybe it would be the kind of thing he would play when he activates the Quagmire seduction system in his living room, but it might need a sax for that. Here it is.

The whole reason I did this because I was impressed with the jingles that come with ilife/garageband. In fact, I was thinking of upgrading to ilife 08 just to get any new jingles they might have, plus the new garageband. I don’t use garageband much, but that’s mainly because I know my way around Digital Performer a little better after spending so many years with it. Garageband really astounded me. At first glance you might think it doesn’t do much, but that’s only because they put so much effort into making it simple. Deep and easy-to-use is a tough combo to pull off, but I think they did it.

The only reason I’m not upgrading to ilife is because I want to find out if I have to install the imovie app from 08. I hear my old one does more, and my guess is that’s because Apple wanted to encourage people to step up to some iteration of Final Cut.

Anyway, if all goes well, this will be an animated image that will groove to the bossa nova. Kinda fun. Might build a little production library. Oh, yeah. That’s where the money is.

    Giggity Giggity.

Love the tune. Can you stretch it into an hour, throw in a Hammond with a Leslie and brass section? (Give it a dash of Herb Albert?)

You know, I think I could, though Chuck Mangione is also on the short list. But neither Herb nor Chuck can keep anyone interested for an hour — unless maybe Quagmire throws in a slide show
