I’d say there’s a very good chance you’ll get answers of similar quality. But go ahead. I hear Michelle Obama read the New York Times story and said it was the second time in her adult life she was proud of her country. (I’m kidding. I don’t think she really said that publicly.)

My guess is someone thought Michelle Obama’s disturbing quote was getting too much press.
Hence, this from the New York Times, which cites anonymous sources who, the NYT says, were sometimes corroborated by other anonymous sources in detailing the apparently unsuccessful efforts of a lobbyist to influence events in D.C. through McCain.
