I’m sensing a trend.

This morning I found myself surfing internationally, where I ran across this.
Of course I was initially captivated by the second-language syntax.
“…now she portrays herself with boldness in lifting the skirt and dropping the lingerie on the camera.”
Scanning the page, there was a certain sameness to the subjects, a kind of repetition or rudandancy, almost a reiterated tautology, as if I were reading the same theme over and over and over and over and over. And over.
And then I went one click too far and found this comment, which was frightening, even coming from an actress:
“‘Personally, I feel Jism was a beautifully made film. It was a visual delight. I think Take 2 is even more visually breathtaking than Jism’ says sexy Bollywood new bombshell Vidya Malvade!”
I thought maybe the producers had relied on an online translation tool to come up with the title, but quick research determined it was probably intentional. I’d stumbled into a world of Hindi softcore porn in the tradition of Body Heat but — different, possibly with more arms.
Curiously, the trend of repetition continued even in the review at PlanetBollywood. :
“…he plays the various shades of his character with the professionalism of a pro.”
I”m especially fond of the reviewer’s close:
“Cinema is meant to be an experience. “Jism” IS one.”
