Aunt Mary presents going out for ‘08

This year we’ve added a new dimension of thoughtlessness to the Aunt Mary experience. In the past we may have focused too much attention on the gifts themselves, ignoring the possibility of expressing the Aunt Mary world view in other aspects of the gifting process.

The Aunt Mary experience must grow and evolve while remaining true to the Aunt Mary context if the tradition is to remain a vibrant part of holiday culture. In a last-minute flash of inspiration, we extended the expression of Aunt Maryism to the labeling this year. Click the pic and watch it plump.

Attached is a photo of a wreath I designed & have given the commemorative name of “Aunt Mary’s Garden”.

Maybe your Aunt Mary didn’t have vibrantly-hued zinnias in abundant bloom in her garden. Maybe she didn’t have a garden. Maybe she didn’t even like gardens. But I have grown very fond of her through your Fredly prose & song telling her story & this is my gift to her this holiday season.
