Apple Suggestion.

I mentioned earlier that when I upgraded to Leopard my audio-in port stopped working with mics and headsets. Weirdly, it works with a line out from my Sansa mp3 player. However, this malfunction with headsets actually cost the U.S. economy the price of a headset because I bought three and returned them all once I learned from a visit to the genius bar at the Apple Store that the problem is a Mac problem, and that I’m SOL.

So I have a few Apple suggestions. First, plug things into all your ports and try them out before releasing a major upgrade. Secondly, now that you know who I am and what my problem is, how about contacting me when you solve it? You have all my contact info in your genius bar database. Of course, first you would have to publicly acknowledge the issue, but you can do it. I know you can.

So let me know when you have it worked out, and I’ll go stimulate the economy with a headset purchase. Do it for America, Apple.
